I’m a researcher focusing on literature, science, and the environment in premodern England. Currently, I am an assistant professor at the University of Guelph in Ontario.
Before coming to Guelph, I was a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, where I completed my Ph.D. in English Literature in 2023. I also hold degrees from Ohio State (English) and McGill (Environment).
I am committed to cultivating open, interdisciplinary conversations through my scholarship and teaching. My research projects engage with topics such as the history of zoology, premodern gender variance, astronomical diagrams, and digital editing. I have taught courses on literature and science, medieval and early modern literature, contemporary environmental literature, book history, and academic writing. I also create occasional digital resources and podcasts.
